Elva Macías

Elva Macías Grajales (born January 10, 1944) is a Mexican poet, writer, and essayist from Chiapas. She studied in Mexico City and later in Moscow, worked as a Spanish teacher in China, and held several cultural and literary posts in Mexico, including at the UNAM. Her poetry has been recognized with awards such as the Premio Chiapas de Literatura Rosario Castellanos and the Premio Carlos Pellicer for published work.
