Elliot Aronson

Elliot Aronson is an American social psychologist renowned for his pioneering research on cognitive dissonance theory and the invention of the Jigsaw Classroom, a cooperative learning technique that reduces prejudice and promotes self-esteem among students.[1][2] He authored the influential textbook *The Social Animal*, now in its 12th edition, and is the only person to win all three major awards from the American Psychological Association for writing, teaching, and research.[1][3] Aronson's work has applied social psychology to real-world issues like reducing racial conflict, bullying, and promoting energy conservation.[4][5]
