Elizabeth Wetherell

Elizabeth Wetherell was the pseudonym of Susan Bogert Warner, a prominent 19th-century American author known for her religious fiction, children's literature, and theological works. She is best remembered for her influential bestseller 'The Wide, Wide World,' published in 1850, which became a pivotal piece in American domestic literature. Warner wrote over 30 books under this name and left a lasting legacy in American literature before passing away in 1885.
