Elizabeth Des Chenes

Liz Deschenes (born 1966 in Boston) is an American contemporary artist known for her post-conceptual photography that explores the materiality and processes of the medium, using elements like light, paper, and chemicals to create sculptural objects and installations.[1][2] She graduated with a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1988 and has exhibited widely at institutions including the Whitney Museum, George Eastman Museum, and Centre Pompidou, while teaching at Bennington College, School of Visual Arts, and Bard College.[3][2][7]
