Elizabeth Cadell
Elizabeth Cadell, born Violet Elizabeth Vandyke, was a British author known for her light-hearted, humorous romantic novels. Born in Calcutta, India, she married a Scotsman, had two children, was widowed, and returned to England where she began writing during World War II, publishing her first book in 1946. She later moved to Portugal in 1960, setting many of her 52 novels there, and used the pseudonym Harriet Ainsworth.[1][2][3]
