Elisabeth D. Bing

Elisabeth D. Bing (1914–2015) was a German-born physical therapist, childbirth educator, and co-founder of Lamaze International, widely known as the "mother of Lamaze" in the United States. After emigrating to the U.S., she helped popularize breathing and relaxation techniques for labor and wrote influential books such as Six Practical Lessons for an Easier Childbirth.
