Eleanor Estes

Eleanor Estes (1906–1988) was an American children's author and former children's librarian, best known for books such as "The Moffats," "The Hundred Dresses," and "Ginger Pye." Her stories often drew on her own childhood in small-town Connecticut and earned major honors including the Newbery Medal and Newbery Honors.
