Eileen Christelow
Eileen Christelow is an American writer and illustrator of children's picture books, both fiction and non-fiction, best known for her Five Little Monkeys series starting with the retelling of 'Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.' Born in Washington, DC, she studied architecture at the University of Pennsylvania, worked as a freelance photographer and graphic designer, and transitioned to children's books in the early 1980s. Other notable works include stories set in Vermont, the Emma the Desperate Dog series, and the non-fiction book Vote!.[1][2][3][4]
