EDWARD PETER

Edward Peters (1936–2024) was an American historian and Henry Charles Lea Professor of History Emeritus at the University of Pennsylvania. He specialized in medieval and early European history, with major work on heresy, the Inquisition, witchcraft, crusades, torture, and the limits of intellectual inquiry.
