Edward Klein is an American author and journalist born in 1936, who began his career as a copy boy at the New York Daily News and later worked as a reporter in Japan before becoming foreign editor of Newsweek and editor-in-chief of The New York Times Magazine from 1977 to 1987.[1][2][5]
