Edward Hampshire

Edward Hampshire is a British historian specializing in naval, defence, intelligence, and end-of-empire history. Educated at Magdalen College, Oxford, and King’s College, London, he worked for ten years at the UK National Archives, latterly as Principal Records Specialist for diplomatic, colonial, and intelligence records. He has served as a senior lecturer at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and as an historian at the Naval Historical Branch, Ministry of Defence, Portsmouth, and is an Associate Editor for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office historians.
