Edna Lyall

Ada Ellen Bayly, known by her pseudonym Edna Lyall, was an English novelist born on 25 March 1857 in Brighton, who supported the women's suffrage movement from an early age and wrote popular Victorian fiction addressing themes of social justice, religious tolerance, and progressive thought.[1][2][4] She published her first novel, Won by Waiting, in 1879 and achieved success with works like We Two and Donovan, often using proceeds for charitable causes.[1][3][4] Lyall died on 8 February 1903, remembered as an apostle of tolerance.[1][4]
