Ed Readicker-Henderson

Edward Readicker-Henderson was an acclaimed travel writer and contributing editor for National Geographic Traveler and ISLANDS, reporting from over 50 countries across every continent and winning three Lowell Thomas awards. Before dedicating himself to writing, he worked as a student, teacher, and bookstore employee, and early in his career co-authored travel guidebooks with his wife, including one involving a motorcycle trip up the Alaska Highway. Despite battling Crohn's disease and other terminal illnesses, he lived independently until his death at age 53.
