Ed Greenwood
Ed Greenwood is a Canadian fantasy writer and game designer best known as the creator of the Forgotten Realms campaign setting for Dungeons & Dragons. He began writing about the Forgotten Realms in 1975, sold the rights to TSR in 1986, and has authored numerous novels, short stories, and game supplements in the fantasy genre. Greenwood also works as a librarian and resides in Ontario, Canada.
