E. X Ferrars

E.X. Ferrars, born Morna Doris MacTaggart, was a prolific British crime writer who authored over 70 novels during a career spanning more than 50 years, starting with her first mystery in 1940. She wrote under the pseudonym Elizabeth Ferrars in the UK and E.X. Ferrars in the US, featuring series characters like Toby Dyke, Andrew Basnett, and the Freers, while being a founding member of the Crime Writers’ Association. Her intricate puzzle mysteries focused on upper- and middle-class characters, with her final novel published posthumously in 1995.
