E Washburn Hopkins

Edward Washburn Hopkins was an American Sanskrit scholar, Orientalist, and historian of religions born in Northampton, Massachusetts, in 1857. He taught at Columbia, Bryn Mawr, and Yale, and became known for his studies of ancient Indian civilization and religion, including works such as *Religions of India* and *History of Religions*.[1][2][3]
