E. R. Frank
E. R. Frank is an American author of young adult novels known for her gritty stories about troubled teens, drawing from her experience as a psychotherapist specializing in trauma. Raised in Richmond, Virginia, she attended Vassar College, earned a Master's from Hunter Graduate School of Social Work, and has worked in prisons, schools, and clinics with adolescents. Her debut novel *Life Is Funny* (2000) won awards, and *America* (2002) was adapted into a 2009 TV movie.[1][2][3]
