E. E. Snell

Esmond Emerson Snell was an American biochemist known for his research on vitamins and the nutritional requirements of bacteria and yeast. He studied lactic acid-producing bacteria, developed microbiological assays for key nutrients, and helped advance the understanding of several B vitamins, including folic acid and vitamin B6.
