Drew Daywalt is an American author and filmmaker best known for the bestselling children's picture book *The Day the Crayons Quit* and its sequel *The Day the Crayons Came Home*. He has also written screenplays, television scripts, and short horror films, and describes his work as spanning escapist fantasy, horror, and comedy.[1][2]
