Douglass Cater

Douglass Cater was an American journalist, political aide, and college president who served as a special assistant to President Lyndon B. Johnson from 1964 to 1968, playing a key role in drafting Great Society initiatives. He later became president of Washington College in Maryland and was a founding fellow of the Aspen Institute, known for his contributions to education, public broadcasting, and the Teacher Corps.
