Douglas Dunn
Douglas Dunn is a Scottish poet, academic, and critic born on October 23, 1942, in Inchinnan, Renfrewshire, Scotland. He studied at the University of Glasgow and the Scottish School of Librarianship, worked as a librarian in Scotland and the US, and became a full-time writer in 1971, publishing acclaimed collections like *Terry Street* (1969) and *Elegies* (1985), earning awards including the Whitbread Book of the Year and Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry. He is Professor Emeritus of English at the University of St Andrews and Director of the St Andrews Scottish Studies Institute.[1][4][5][8]
