Douglas Bell

Douglas Bell is an African American fiction author from Houston, Texas, who writes under the pen name of Troy Porter to tell bold stories elevating Black male voices. He holds an architectural engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Texas A&M, worked as an engineer for twelve years, and later pursued a career as a professional magician before becoming a full-time author and publisher with Bumbershoot Press. His debut novel is CAKEWALK, with a second book in editing.
