Douglas B. Fisher

Douglas Fisher, Ph.D., is a professor and chair of educational leadership at San Diego State University and a teacher leader at Health Sciences High & Middle College in San Diego, California.[2][3] A credentialed teacher and administrator, he has published over 250 books, chapters, and articles on school improvement, literacy, differentiated instruction, and curriculum design, including titles like *Better Learning Through Structured Teaching* and *The Distance Learning Playbook*.[2][3][5] He was inducted into the Reading Hall of Fame in 2022 and has received awards such as the International Reading Association Celebrate Literacy Award.[2][5]
