Doru Michael Stefanescu

Doru M. Stefanescu is a Romanian-American metallurgist and professor emeritus at the University of Alabama, where he served as Cudworth Professor of Engineering and Director of the Solidification Laboratory.[1] He earned his Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering and Ph.D. in Physical Metallurgy from University Politehnica Bucharest in 1965 and 1973, respectively, and has authored several books on metallurgy based on his extensive industrial and academic experience.[1] Stefanescu joined the University of Alabama in 1980, advancing through various professorial roles until becoming emeritus in 2005.[1]
