Donald Grier Stephenson Jr.
Donald Grier Stephenson Jr. (also known as D. Grier Stephenson Jr. or Grier Stephenson) is an American political scientist and Charles A. Dana Emeritus Professor of Government at Franklin and Marshall College, where he taught from 1970 onward after earning his A.B. from Davidson College and M.A. and Ph.D. from Princeton University. Born in DeKalb County, Georgia, to an attorney father and social worker mother, he served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970, reaching the rank of captain and receiving the Joint Service Commendation Medal. He has authored and compiled works on American constitutional law and the Supreme Court, including 'The Supreme Court and the American Republic: An Annotated Bibliography.'
