Donald Crews

Donald Crews is an acclaimed American author and illustrator of children's picture books, born in Newark, New Jersey in 1938. He is best known for his innovative concept books like Freight Train (Caldecott Honor, 1979) and Truck (Caldecott Honor, 1980), which feature bold graphics of transportation and everyday objects. In 2015, he received the Children's Literature Legacy Award for his lasting contributions to the field.
