Dominique Venner

Dominique Venner (1935–2013) was a French journalist, essayist, and historian who specialized in military and political history. He was involved in far-right politics in his youth, including membership in the Organisation armée secrète (OAS) during the Algerian War, before withdrawing from activism to focus on historical writing and editing La Nouvelle Revue d'Histoire. He authored over fifty books on history, weapons, and hunting, and was associated with the French New Right movement.
