Djaili Amadou Amal
Djaïli Amadou Amal is a Cameroonian writer and feminist activist, born in 1975 in Maroua, in northern Cameroon. She writes mainly in French and is known for novels such as Les Impatientes, which explore the oppression of women, forced marriage, polygamy, and social issues in the Sahel. She also founded Femmes du Sahel, an organization supporting girls' education and women's development.
