Diskin Clay
Diskin William Thomas Clay (1938–2014) was a distinguished American classical philologist and professor of classical studies at Duke University, known for his scholarly work on ancient Greek philosophy and literature, particularly on Plato, Epicurus, and Lucretius. He served as the R. J. R. Nabisco Distinguished Professor of Classical Studies until his emeritation in 2008 and contributed significantly to the understanding of Socratic dialogue and Hellenistic thought.
