Diane Larsen-Freeman

Diane Larsen-Freeman is an American linguist renowned for her work in second language acquisition, English language teaching, teacher education, and the complex/dynamic systems approach to language development.[1][4] She began her career as a Peace Corps volunteer teaching English in Sabah, Malaysia from 1967 to 1969, earned her PhD in linguistics from the University of Michigan in 1975, and held faculty positions at UCLA, SIT Graduate Institute, and the University of Michigan, where she retired in 2012 as Professor Emerita of Education and Linguistics.[1][2][3]
