Desiderius Erasmus
Desiderius Erasmus (1469–1536) was a Dutch Renaissance humanist, theologian, and scholar, widely regarded as the greatest intellectual of the Northern Renaissance. He was the first editor of the Greek New Testament, a prolific writer of satires, letters, and theological works, and a key figure in patristics and classical literature who advocated for religious reform through education and piety.[1][6]
