Denton Jaques Snider
Denton Jacques Snider (1841–1925) was an American literary critic, essayist, and philosopher associated with the St. Louis Hegelians. He collaborated with William Torrey Harris and others to found the St. Louis Philosophical Society in 1866 and contributed to the Journal of Speculative Philosophy. Known as 'The Writer of Books,' he authored over fifty works on literature, philosophy, poetry, and biography, including analyses of Shakespeare and Homer's Odyssey.[1][5][6]
