Denise Swanson
Denise Swanson is a New York Times bestselling American mystery author known for series including the Scumble River Mysteries set in a fictional Illinois town and the Devereaux's Dime Store Mysteries set in a fictional Missouri town.[1][4] She worked as a school psychologist for twenty-two years before becoming a full-time writer and lives in Illinois with her husband, composer David Stybr.[2][4] A graduate of the University of Illinois and Governors State University, her books have earned awards like the Reviewers' Choice Award and nominations for the Agatha and Mary Higgins Clark Awards.[1][2]
