Denise Brennan

Denise Brennan is an anthropologist and Professor and Chair of the Department of Anthropology at Georgetown University, where she co-founded the Gender+ Justice Initiative. Her scholarship focuses on migration, trafficking into forced labor, sex work, and migrant exploitation, with notable books including Life Interrupted and What's Love Got to Do with It?. She is recognized for documenting the lives of trafficking survivors and transnational desires in the Dominican Republic.
