Debbie Dadey

Debbie Dadey is an American children's book author born in Morganfield, Kentucky, who grew up in Henderson and earned degrees in elementary education and library science from Western Kentucky University. She gained fame co-authoring over 100 books with Marcia Thornton Jones, including the bestselling Adventures of the Bailey School Kids series starting with Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots in 1990, and has written dozens more solo titles with total sales estimated at 46 million copies worldwide. Before her writing career, she worked as an elementary school teacher and librarian, and she currently lives in Sevierville, Tennessee.
