David W. Shaw
David W. Shaw is an American journalist and author with nearly twenty years of experience writing extensively about nineteenth-century American history[5]. An expert sailor in his own right, Shaw brings decades of seagoing experience to his work as an author, writing extensively for boating magazines and publications including The New York Times, Sail, and Cruising World[3][5]. His books include America's Victory, an account of the 1851 yacht race, and works on Civil War history[5].
