David Trueba
David Rodríguez Trueba, born in Madrid in 1969, is a Spanish filmmaker, writer, journalist, screenwriter, and director, known for films like 'Soldados de Salamina' and 'Vivir es fácil con los ojos cerrados,' which earned him multiple Goya Awards including Best Director.[1][4][6] The youngest of eight siblings, including filmmaker Fernando Trueba, he studied journalism at Complutense University and scriptwriting at the American Film Institute, beginning his career with screenplays and television work.[1][3][6] He has also authored novels such as 'Saber perder,' winner of the National Critics' Prize in 2008, and contributes a weekly column to El País.[4][6]
