David R. Lide

David R. Lide (born May 25, 1928) is an American physicist and editor specializing in chemistry and physics, known for his long tenure as Editor-in-Chief of the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics. He served as a physicist at the National Bureau of Standards from 1954 to 1988 and has authored or edited numerous scientific reference books, including the Handbook of Data on Organic Compounds and the Handbook of Thermophysical and Thermochemical Data[1][3].
