David Morrell
David Morrell is a Canadian-American author best known for creating the character John Rambo in his debut 1972 novel First Blood, which spawned a successful film franchise starring Sylvester Stallone. He holds a Ph.D. in American literature from Penn State and taught American literature at the University of Iowa from 1970 to 1986 while simultaneously writing numerous bestselling novels, including the classic spy trilogy beginning with The Brotherhood of the Rose.
