David Macaulay
David Macaulay is a British-born American illustrator and writer known for his ability to demystify complex subjects through elegant drawings and clear explanations. Born in 1946, he studied architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design and has created over two dozen acclaimed books explaining everything from cathedrals and castles to machines and the human body.
