David L. Goodstein

David Louis Goodstein (1939–2024) was an American physicist and educator who spent more than four decades on the faculty of the California Institute of Technology. He served as Caltech’s vice provost from 1987 to 2007 and was known for his work in condensed matter physics as well as for science education and outreach.
