David Gentleman

David William Gentleman (born 11 March 1930) is an English artist, illustrator, designer, and author known for his work in watercolour, lithography, wood engraving, and book illustrations. He studied at the Royal College of Art under Edward Bawden and John Nash, designed over 100 British postage stamps, created the iconic Charing Cross Underground mural, and authored travel books on Britain, London, Paris, India, and Italy. Born in Brentford, West London, to artist parents, he has lived in London for decades and his works are held in major collections like Tate Britain and the British Museum.[1][2][3]
