David G. Marr

David G. Marr is an American/Australian historian specializing in the modern history of Vietnam. Born in Macon, Georgia, he earned a BA from Dartmouth College, served as an intelligence officer in the US Marine Corps from 1959 to 1964, and later taught at the University of California, Berkeley, Cornell University, before becoming a professor at the Australian National University in 1975, where he is now Emeritus Professor.[1][2][4]
