David Foster
David Foster is an Australian novelist and scientist born in 1944 in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales. He trained as a scientist at Sydney University and the Australian National University before becoming a full-time writer in 1972. He is known for his satirical works on the decline of Western civilization and has won the Miles Franklin Award for his novel The Glade Within the Grove.
