David Ezra Stein

David Ezra Stein is an American author and illustrator of children's picture books, best known for his Caldecott Honor-winning Interrupting Chicken series, which was adapted into an animated Apple TV+ show in 2022. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was inspired by his cartographer father and painter mother, attended Parsons School of Design majoring in editorial illustration, and published his first book Cowboy Ned and Andy in 2006. He has created over ten books, including award-winners like Leaves and Dinosaur Kisses, and his work has appeared in publications such as The New York Times and The New Yorker.[1][2][6]
