David Ewing Jr

David Jenkins Ewing, Jr. was a journalist and LSU alumnus born on July 12, 1892, in New Orleans, who graduated with honors in 1912 after serving as editor-in-chief of The Reveille. He worked for the New Orleans Times-Democrat, earned an L.L.B. from LSU Law School in 1915, and joined the U.S. Army in 1917, serving as a lieutenant in France during World War I. He was killed in action on July 27, 1918, during the Aisne-Marne offensive.[1]
