David E Johnson

Colonel David E. Johnson, PhD, USA (Ret.), was a principal researcher at the RAND Corporation from 1998 to 2016, a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, and an adjunct scholar at the Modern War Institute at West Point. He authored numerous books, reports, and articles on strategy, joint operations, military innovation, and defense topics, and taught graduate courses in strategy and military operations at Georgetown University. Johnson passed away on October 30, 2022, following a long illness.
