David E. Hoffman

David E. Hoffman is a contributing editor and member of the editorial board at The Washington Post, where he previously served as assistant managing editor, foreign editor, Moscow bureau chief, Jerusalem correspondent, State Department correspondent, and White House correspondent during the Reagan and George H.W. Bush presidencies.[1][2] He is the author of acclaimed books including The Oligarchs (2002), The Dead Hand (2009, Pulitzer Prize winner for general nonfiction), The Billion Dollar Spy (2015), and Give Me Liberty (2022), and has worked as a correspondent for PBS's FRONTLINE.[1][4] A University of Delaware alumnus and former senior associate member at St. Antony's College, Oxford, he lives with his wife in Maryland.[1][6]
