David Bradley

David Henry Bradley, Jr. is an American novelist and essayist born in Bedford, Pennsylvania, in 1950. He is best known for his novels South Street and The Chaneysville Incident, the latter of which won the 1982 PEN/Faulkner Award. His work often explores African American history, race, memory, and identity.
