David Abbott (1938–2014) was a renowned British advertising executive and celebrated copywriter, best known for founding Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO and creating iconic campaigns for brands like Volvo and The Economist. He also authored the novel 'The Upright Piano Player' in 2010, but he was not an editor by profession; the reference to him as an 'Editor' appears to be a misattribution.
